Mr Hann says

Hello fellow scribblers. Am piggybacking on an old email with addresses from Ian so hope you all know me (bit hard to tell who is who from some email addresses) I Also hope you dont think this too conceited of me but I did get some rather stunning news last night that I wanted to share with some fellow spirits who will know what it means etc

anyway....

Just to say I heard yesterday that the book I wrote as part of my dissertation last year about my dear old dad's wartime experiences in the SAS has won the Impress Prize for non-fiction after all and now stands a chance of publication. Since I haven't written a word since finishing the MA in the summer it now seems a bit daunting especially as I hear the original "winner" dropped out so that suggests there is a way to go yet.

Anyway as you can imagine I am chuffed to little bits and thought it might encourage others out there to keep on scribbling! There is an article coming out soon in the nottingham Evening post 'Bygones' section so watch out for that.

The film is next - who should play my Dad? Ewan McGregor? Decaprio? Clive Owen, Daniel Craig?
Best Regards
Rob Hann
